Our Many "Homes" in Ohio

                              Our Many "Homes" in Ohio

Our first "home" in Ohio was a two week stay at a Value hotel!!  Some value, it was not that expensive, and it was functional, but it smelt so bad, we used Febreeze, Candles, automatic air freshener, Cleaning, and had the hotel bomb it to try to eliminate the smell, with no avail.  I guess you get what you pay for.

Our second "home" was an apartment that we lived in for a month.  It was only $500 for a month, the catch is that it was literally a one car garage transformed into a studio apartment.  It is 10'*20'.  It was quite small, which was nice at some points.  I could be in the TV room, kitchen, and bedroom all at the same time.  It was however, an upgrade because it did not smell!!!

Yes, the shower was not connected to the rest of the bathroom!

Finally, after living in Ohio for a month and a half, we moved into our Home!  Our home has three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms (plenty of room for family and friends to come visit), and a formal dining room, sitting room, family room/TV room, kitchen, and laundry closet.  We also have an unfinished basement, which Jeff's eyes glow when he thinks about his future project of finishing the basement.  We love our deck, it is getting too cold now, but it's nice to sit out there.  We also have a cute front porch.  Although, we are getting our house together we still have no furniture in our formal dinning room and formal sitting room.  Some day we will have furniture.

Our home, needed some work when we moved in.  The pictures below will show the before and after stages.

Road Trip to Ohio

Jeff got a great job opportnity in Ohio.  So we took a road trip to Ohio, driving our two vehicles across country.  Katie and I drove in the car.  Jeff and his dad drove in the jeep.  Katie and I had the better end of this deal.  Jeff's beloved jeep's newly fixed AC broke on day 2 of our three day trip.

Katie and I took turns driving the car.  Thanks Katie!!!

When we stopped in New Mexico for lunch, we stopped at the most authentic Mexican restaurant we could think of Taco Bell.
We went thru seven different states in three days and 35 hours.  We went thru AZ, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio.

We stopped in Amarillo Texas, on our first night.  We were sick of driving in a car, so we ate dinner down stairs in the hotel restaurant.  Jeff and his Dad, Jeff ready to eat.

The total trip was 1992.1 miles.  Longest road trip of our lives.  But we made it!
