Our Many "Homes" in Ohio

                              Our Many "Homes" in Ohio

Our first "home" in Ohio was a two week stay at a Value hotel!!  Some value, it was not that expensive, and it was functional, but it smelt so bad, we used Febreeze, Candles, automatic air freshener, Cleaning, and had the hotel bomb it to try to eliminate the smell, with no avail.  I guess you get what you pay for.

Our second "home" was an apartment that we lived in for a month.  It was only $500 for a month, the catch is that it was literally a one car garage transformed into a studio apartment.  It is 10'*20'.  It was quite small, which was nice at some points.  I could be in the TV room, kitchen, and bedroom all at the same time.  It was however, an upgrade because it did not smell!!!

Yes, the shower was not connected to the rest of the bathroom!

Finally, after living in Ohio for a month and a half, we moved into our Home!  Our home has three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms (plenty of room for family and friends to come visit), and a formal dining room, sitting room, family room/TV room, kitchen, and laundry closet.  We also have an unfinished basement, which Jeff's eyes glow when he thinks about his future project of finishing the basement.  We love our deck, it is getting too cold now, but it's nice to sit out there.  We also have a cute front porch.  Although, we are getting our house together we still have no furniture in our formal dinning room and formal sitting room.  Some day we will have furniture.

Our home, needed some work when we moved in.  The pictures below will show the before and after stages.

  1. I bet your house feels like a palace compared to the hotel and apartment! Looks like you are enjoying all the renovations :) It's looking good so far and I'm sure it'll be awesome when everything is completed!!

  2. I love it - can't wait to come visit -- tell the girls to quit having friends and being involved in school so we can clear a spot and come by.
